New Year!!

Good morning! I'm sitting here, coffee in hand, baby sleeping peacefully in his gently rocking swing and thanking God for all the blessings he has chosen to bestow upon us. I am so ready to start this new year with a clean slate and gusto!! Looking back over the past year, I'm surprised we had the energy to do everything we did...first year of marriage, got pregnant, bought a house, fully REMODELED house, husband left for 6 weeks for work in India, I gave birth to our sweet little boy Canyon, and I quit my job to stay home and raise him. What's my resolution for this 2010 year? MAKE NO MAJOR LIFE DECISIONS THIS YEAR!!! :-) The only thing Robby and I have left to do is buy a car and change his job. I think we can spread those two things out over a lifetime. Of course I have other resolutions...besides the cliche resolutions about dropping dress sizes, and becoming more "active", my goal is to be more active in my faith. I have the personal relationship with Christ, I have the church attendance, but all that seems a little empty without actually getting out there and putting that to use. I am thrilled that I have the time to volunteer and have been looking for the perfect place to put that to use. That is my prayer starting this new year...that God will put me where he needs me most to further his kingdom. Now as I finish my last sip of coffee, listen to the sweet stirrings of my little one waking up from his morning nap, and counting the blessings from the Lord...I am so excited to start blessing Him with my service! Bring on the New Year and even though my resolution is no major life changes, I can't keep God from making them for me. God Bless!!
